Construction Yard Laborers

We have partnered with North America’s leading producer of industrial pressure-treated wood products.

We are looking for Construction Laborers to join our team in Whitmire, SC. The primary purpose of the position is to perform work in processing operations as directed by the lead and supervisors in a productive, efficient and safe manner. Position performs heavy manual labor in most job duties. We do provide on the job training training.

Shift: 1st 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday – Friday. During very busy months, we work 10 hour shifts and then sometimes on Saturdays.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Assist in loading and unloading of materials and charges.
• Assist in storage by setting stickers and dunnage.
• Tag materials with proper product tag.
• Cut dunnage.
• Assist in cleaning work areas, painting, and maintaining property, plant, and equipment.
• Participate and contribute to the company’s safety program.
• Overtime and weekends may be mandatory, as well as unexpected shift changes. Attendance is extremely important.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Able to work with others.
• Apply proper safety and environmental practices.
• Ability to lift 50- 75 lbs continually.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use various tools.

Experience Required:

• At least 1 year of working outside in the weather conditions.
• Must have steel-toed boots
• A construction background is preferred, but not required if you are willing to do the work and have no issue working outside.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background report for the last 7 years.

These are long-term, temp-to-hire positions after you work about 3 months.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour, and once you get hired full-time, you will be offered benefits, and you will be reviewed for a pay increase.
